POTASSIUM CHLORIDE

Potassium is a natural mineral that is found in many foods and is needed for several functions of your body.  Potassium Chloride is used to help prevent or to help treat low blood levels of potassium. There are many reasons that potassium levels in your body can be low. Poor diet, eating disorders, certain medications, diabetic ketoacidosis, rare disorders of the adrenal glands and prolonged illnesses with diarrhea and/or vomiting are just a few of these reasons.  If you suffer from anxiety, depression, insomnia, constipation, high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney stones, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, obesity, headaches, muscle spasms, restless leg syndrome, fatigue or muscle tension, it might be a sign that you are low in potassium levels.

Potassium may help prevent the occurrence of a stoke in the human brain. It is also a key role in the functioning of heart muscles and the contraction of voluntary and involuntary muscle making it good for the whole musculoskeletal system. It may help prevent osteoporosis. It plays a key role in maintaining the salt and water balance in the body, along with sodium.
